THOUGHT POWER! Empower Yourself with Positive Thoughts

Life is very simple. What you give out, you get back. The thoughts you think, the words you speak and the beliefs you hold are powerfilled strands of energy that shape your everyday reality.

You Have a Superpower

Over the last two decades I have learned many lessons from my longtime spiritual mentor, Louise Hay. One of the things she taught me is, “Everyone, including myself, is responsible for every experience in life, the best and the worst.” The sooner you can embrace this superpower, the better. It is the path to personal empowerment.

The Law of Attraction states that each time you think a thought or speak a word, the Universe is listening and responding to you. If there are things you don’t like in your life, use your thoughts and words to shift your experience. This is a potent and liberating concept. As you learn to make positive adjustments in your mind, you notice that life responds accordingly.

Negativity Produces Negativity

What are you thinking right now? What have you been thinking all day? Take a few deep breaths and honestly answer these questions. Are your thoughts positive or negative? Is your thinking making you sick or promoting health? Are you criticizing yourself or surrounding yourself with the vibrations of love?

The detrimental thoughts that run through your mind create the upcoming days of your life. Remember that you are dealing with thoughts, and they can be changed in an instant. You have unlimited choices about what you can think, so choose positive, uplifting and self-affirming thoughts that fill you with peace, empower you with joy and connect you with harmony.

Choose To Love Yourself

Right now I want you to stand up. Take this magazine with you and locate the closest mirror. Stand in front of the mirror and look into your own eyes, then say to yourself out loud:

“I love and approve of myself exactly as I am. I am willing to make positive changes in my thoughts that support and empower the highest good flowing into my future life. Day by day my life will get better, because I think it so. It is safe for me to be happy, loved and fulfilled.”

Say it to yourself for a few minutes as you consciously breathe in and out between each repetition. Notice what thoughts race through your mind as you state this positive affirmation. If you notice your thoughts are negative, it’s time to let them go. That is your old and outdated chatter. You can acknowledge the negative babble without giving it any attention or energy. Simply say to that negative voice:

“I no longer choose to fill my mind with negative thoughts. Thank you for sharing. I release you with ease, and I am now willing to choose fresh, new ideas to think.”

“I love and approve of myself exactly as I am. I am willing to make positive changes in my thoughts that support and empower the highest good flowing into my future life. Day by day my life will get better, because I think it so. It is safe for me to be happy, loved and fulfilled.”

From this point in time, whenever you see a mirror, look into your own eyes and say several positive things to yourself. If you are in a rush, merely say, “I truly love you.” This effortless exercise will generate remarkable results in your life. Just for today, love yourself enough to try it.

Remember, when your thought patterns are attached to the past, you recreate the same experiences over and over again. As you begin the process of altering your thoughts, with time you will find your tomorrows becoming different. Change your thinking today, and watch your thoughts transform your future into happier present moments.
