Learn How to Grow and What to Grow in the Tough Texas Landscape

Successfully growing plants and vegetation in the drought-prone San Antonio environment takes expert guidance. That’s exactly what you’ll find when you participate in the Texas Tough Landscape Series at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.

The five-part series of classes, sponsored by San Antonio Water System, will cover 1) an introduction to tough Texas landscaping, 2) planning and designing a landscape, 3) soil testing, prepping and planning, 4) removing unwanted turf, and 5) being water wise. Participants will learn basic design principles and techniques for drought-tolerant, low-maintenance landscapes using native and well-adapted plants.

SABG-logoClasses in the series are $10 each and take place at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, 555 Funston Pl. For more information, visit www.sabot.org and see the Adult Education page.
