Study to Become a Yoga Instructor: 200-Hour Yoga Training Course Begins on May 2 at Yoga Shala

The popularity of yoga continues to grow across the U.S. and the greater San Antonio area. If you’ve ever dreamed of studying and teaching yoga, Yoga Shala offers a wonderful opportunity during the upcoming Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Intensive, a 200-hour certification program led by Ana Hollis and guest faculty. The intensive program begins May 2 and continues through Nov. 15. 

The program meets the National Educational Standards of Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level and includes studies in Techniques Training/Practice, Teaching Methodology, Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy and Physiology, Study/Reading assignments and Practicum. Guest faculty will include Lisa Long and Dr. Heith Root. Training will take place Fridays from 5-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Yoga Shala, 18585 Sigma Road in the Stone Oak area. Participants are encouraged to enroll by April 25.
