San Antonio’s Sparkling New Museum for Kids, The DoSeum, Opens in June

Opening Weekend is June 6, 7

The long-awaited and much-anticipated opening of The DoSeum, San Antonio’s new museum for kids, happens this month! The grand opening takes place the weekend of June 6, 7, and chances are the indoor/outdoor venue will be jam-packed with happy children of all ages. Not to worry— starting June 8 The DoSeum will be open seven days a week.

Tickets for the grand opening weekend are $5 for children and adults (half off the regular daily admission). Tickets are available in 30-minute increments from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 7. Adults and children ages 1 and up will need a ticket to participate. Act quickly as tickets are expected to sell out.

The DoSeum is designed to function as a museum set in a park, an environment where kids can learn by doing, creating and tinkering. The new museum includes three twostory indoor exhibit halls totaling 65,000 square feet and an outdoor exhibit yard that utilizes 39,000 square feet.
