Each year on the third Saturday of October, the San Antonio Herb Market Association hosts a day dedicated to all things herbal. This year the celebration falls on Saturday, Oct. 15, and focuses on peppers, the official “Herb of the Year,” designated by the International Herb Association. Participants will enjoy seminars, cooking demonstrations, tastings, children’s activities, herbal products, Q&A sessions and more.
Purchase a plant for fall gardening, pick up a handcrafted gift for a loved one and learn about the herb of the year and other herbs that grow well in the San Antonio region. Herb experts will be available to answer gardening and herb-related questions.
The San Antonio Herb Market is a free, family-friendly event. The market begins at 9 a.m. at the Historic Pearl Brewery, 303 Pearl Parkway.
The San Antonio Herb Market Association is a non-profit corporation with a mission to educate the community about herbs through programs, charitable gifts, and opportunities for herb-related businesses.
