There’s no better place to be less than a week after New Year’s than the San Antonio Coffee Festival, which takes place Saturday, Jan. 6, at La Villita, located downtown just off the River Walk. Kick off 2018 with a jolt of fresh, locally roasted coffee from locations across the globe.
Enjoy meeting local coffee artisans who will roast and brew more than 40 coffees. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn the multi-step process of creating a delicious cup of warm java, from bean cultivation to harvest to roasting, brewing and pouring.
The festival includes free demonstrations and workshops, where participants can learn about things like fair trade coffees, cold brewing and the health benefits of coffee. Attendees will also enjoy live music, good food, shopping and arts activities. Proceeds from the festival benefit PreK-4-Kids, a local non-profit organization that helps preschool and kindergarten children excel in school.
The festival begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. at the La Villita Historic Arts Village, 418 Villita St. For more information, visit www.sanantoniocoffeefestival.com.
