Many people are learning to reduce their anxiety and stress through special breathing techniques that have helped active-duty military personnel and veterans. Project Welcome Home Troops works with local practitioners to offer several breathing workshops at no cost to active-duty military personnel and veterans.
Here are several upcoming opportunities to learn and practice these breathing techniques:
- Resilience From the Inside Out
• Oct. 4, 18, 25 and Nov. 1 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Yoga in Motion, 8055 West Ave., Ste. 108.
• Oct 4 from 4-5 p.m. at Jamilia Holistic Health Institute, 3201 Cherry Ridge St., Ste. 205-A, Building B.
- Power Breath Workshop – This five-day workshop starts Nov. 6 and continues through Nov. 10 at Friends Meeting San Antonio, 7052 N. Vandiver Rd. (southeast corner at Eisenhauer). The weekday workshops are 6-9 p.m., and the weekend workshops are 3-6:30 p.m. Attendance is required for all five sessions.
