“Plugged In” Conference Explores Intersection of Technology and Consciousness on Oct. 4, 5

Explore the intersection of technology and human consciousness at Plugged In: Emerging Technologies & the Future of Being Human, hosted by the Mind Science Foundation on Oct. 4, 5 at Pearl Stable. This two-day conference will explore the ways emerging technologies are expanding the human mind.

The event includes presentations by esteemed doctors, writers and scientists from across the country. The schedule of events features presentations on sensory and perceptual enhancement, brain/mind interfaces and consciousness, mind reading technology, robotics and motor systems, and more.

Plugged In begins Wednesday, Oct. 4, with a presentation at 7:30 p.m. by Dr. David Eagleman, a neuroscientist who heads the Center for Science and Law, about his newly released book, “The Runaway Species,” at the Laurie Auditorium. The event continues on Oct. 5 with a full day of presentations by a number of distinguished speakers on the topics.
