Both established and would-be writers can immerse in the writing craft and connect with kindred spirts while attending the Gemini Ink Writers Conference July 21-24 at the historic downtown El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel. This four-day book immersion features workshops with master writers, panels, round tables, small press fairs, readings and after-parties.
Attendees will learn about the essential role of book arts and about social media for writers. They can also trade paperbacks and e-books and can learn how to turn a working manuscript into a powerful and marketable book.
A welcome reception kicks off the conference on Thursday, July 21, and continues with nonfiction/fiction/poetry workshops and panels on July 22 and 23. The Book Fair takes place on July 23, and the conference closes on July 24 with a breakfast buffet and author reading.
Ticket prices range from $75 to $150 and include admission to all panels, readings, the Book Fair, round tables, breakout sessions and one intensive workshop in poetry, fiction or nonfiction. Additional workshops can be purchased for $50 at the conference, if space is available.
The El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel is located at 110 Lexington Ave. in downtown San Antonio. For more information about the conference and about Gemini Ink, visit www.geminiink.org.
