For health and wellness advocates from across the state, San Antonio will be the place to be on Aug, 1, 2, as more than 1,000 health champions and thought leaders participate in the It’s Time Texas Summit, the state’s premier healthy communities event.
The summit, presented by the Mayor’s Fitness Council, brings together health advocates and experts from across the state to discuss best practices in community health and strengthen the state’s interconnected network of wellness services, providers and experts.
This year, participants can tailor their summit experience to align with one of five tracks, including Community, Healthcare, Media & Technology, School and Workplace. The summit will feature keynote speaker Susan Combs, former Texas Comptroller, and will include an exhibit hall with more than 60 businesses and organizations. The event will include more than 80 presenters and panelists, and will will host the Creating a Culture of Health symposium.
The It’s Time Texas Summit takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2 at San Antonio’s Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, 900 E. Market Street. General registration for the two-day event is $180; registration for K-12 educators and non-profit representatives is $130; the student rate is $25.
