It’s Now Easier to “Eat Well” in San Antonio: Eat Well Offers Healthy Prepared Meals

Jill Wentworth

Jill (Tarpey) Wentworth has a passion for health and nutrition, which is why the yoga instructor and nutritionist started Eat Well last year.

Originally focused on nutrition education, Jill and husband Clayton recently expanded Eat Well to include a healthy prepared meal service to fill a community need that Jill says became obvious during her nutrition talks.

“So many people wanted to feed their families better, but they just didn’t have the time, so they asked if I would prepare meals for them; I said ‘Sure!’” Cooking for a couple of people turned into cooking for half a dozen families. Word-of-mouth took over, and the meal service vision took shape.

Within a short time, the Wentworths perfected menus, located a commercial kitchen and identified places customers can pick up their pre-ordered weekly meals. “It’s amazing how it all came together,” Jill says.

Health and nutrition remain key ingredients at Eat Well, where all meals are completely free of additives, hormones, high fructose corn syrup, MSG, dyes and preservatives. “We say, ‘If you can’t pronounce it, we don’t use it,’ and we mean it,” Jill says.
