Good old-fashioned fun comes to the Herff Farm during the Living History Festival on Saturday, Nov. 16. The free event runs from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and includes storytellers and historians sharing their knowledge of early European settlers in the Boerne region.

Participating local storytellers include author Brent Evans, who will explore Dr. Herff's history and his peaceful interactions with the Native Americans of the region. Evans will also delve into tales of Jacob Broadbeck, who some say was the first man to ever fly. Historian Brydon Moon will also share stories about the region.

Festival visitors will also learn about the lifestyles of pioneers and settlers through historical wares, demonstrations and re-enactments. Plus, the Inspiration Garden at the farm will feature an heirloom plant and medicinal herb presentation.

Herff Farm is located at 33 Herff Road in Boerne. For more information visit www.cibolo.org/LivingHistoryFestival.
