What began as a one-day event in 1987 has blossomed into a four-day celebration of Texas and Americana music, specialty beer and wines, food and handcrafted items. The Gruene Music & Wine Festival Oct. 6-9 marks its 30th year with a long weekend of activities, entertainment, tastings and giveaways.
The fun begins on Thursday, Oct. 6, with a taste exploration, door prizes and live music. On Friday, enjoy “Rockin’ with Texas Wine and Food,” a private show and meetand- greet, silent auction and wine tasting. Saturday’s “Texas Tastings and Tunes,” will feature live music on two stages, a wine tasting and a gift market. Sunday marks the final day of the festival with a specialty beer and wine tasting, live Texas tunes, “haute” food and handcrafted goods available for purchase.
The Gruene Music & Wine Festival benefits the United Way of Comal County, so sip and enjoy for a good cause.
The festival takes place at the Gruene Historic District, 1601 Hunter Road in New Braunfels. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.gruenemusicandwinefest.org.
