Culinaria, a non-profit organization that promotes San Antonio as an ideal wine and food destination, will host its annual foodie 5K on Saturday, March 19. Runners will race through the scenic Shops at La Cantera and celebrate with wine, beer and food from some of San Antonio’s top chefs at the finish line. Runners can get equipped for all of their race-day needs at the expo on Friday, March 18.
Run participants, and the public alike, can pick up free samples and check out fun merchandise, including the latest in active wear. The event benefits Culinaria’s Farm, opening this summer. When it opens, the farm will teach food education and the joys of gardening through school tours, seminars and chef-led cooking classes using produce grown on-site.
The Culinaria 5K begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at 15900 La Cantera Pkwy. For more information and to register for the 5K, visit www.culinariasa.org.
