Chanting is a uniquely powerful and healing spiritual practice. On Saturday, Oct. 8, thousands of people will come together across the nation to be part of Chant4Change, to raise their voices to chant and heal the soul of America.
Through sacred songs and chants, volunteers from across the social, political and religious spectrums will stand at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., and provide an alternative to the increasing volume of negativity heard in political and public discourse. This event focuses on one human family, one collective voice, unified together for healing and peace through heartfelt song.
San Antonio residents are invited to participate in this national event by gathering at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 at The Union Yoga Studio, located at 18130 U.S. Highway 281 North, just south of Loop 1604. Local community and spiritual leaders will share their messages alongside special guest musicians Amala Kirtan Das and Chris Interrante.
The San Antonio event is free and open to the public. For more information about the national Chant4Change event, visit www.chant4change.com. For local information, contact Deborah Charnes at deborah.charnes@gmail. com or 210-381-1846.
