Know a high school student who’s concerned about the global environment and who wants to make a difference? Camp Eco.logic has the perfect summer workshop! The uber “green” camp is hosting two oneday workshops July 22 and 27 for eco-friendly teens who want to learn more about global climate change, explore solutions and create real-world action plans.

The workshops will take place in Eisenhower Park, 19399 NW Military Hwy. Both workshops will consist of presentations and activities that will provide students a thorough understanding of climate change and its impacts here in Texas. There will also be a guided hike through Eisenhower Park, and lunch will be provided.

The workshop is organized by Rozina Kanchwala with support from the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. Kanchwala, who has a master’s degree in environment and sustainable development, was trained by Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project and currently works at Solar San Antonio. “This generation of young people will have to find solutions, so educating them and encouraging them is important,” she says.

Workshop sessions July 22 and 27 will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each session will cost $25.
