Bexar County Master Gardeners Host Gardening and Landscaping Expo on Sept. 16

Bexar County Master Gardeners are pooling their expertise and energy to offer Cultivate! An Earth-Friendly Gardening and Landscaping Expo on Sept. 16. Bring your notepads and interest in gardening and landscaping to this four-hour green-thumb event, where you’ll learn about everything from rainwater harvesting to growing fall vegetables.

The event includes nine classes taught by master gardeners, a mini demo stage, Bulb & Texas Superstar plant sale, local seed swap, garden expo area with interactive info booths, industry-related vendors, planter raffles, food, fun and more. Admission to the expo area and mini demo stage is free, but registration is required for gardening and landscaping classes. Cost is $5 for class or three for $10. Class topics include rainwater harvesting, benefits of compost, drip irrigation, container gardening, growing fall vegetables and more.
