The San Antonio Museum of Art Hosts Centuries-Old Indian Sculpture

A sacred woman rides an animal, her hands wielding a sword and a shield. She wears a crown and her body is adorned with jewels. She is the Yogini, the female master practitioner of yoga and an enlightened spiritual teacher. See an image of Yogini that dates back to the 10-11th century at the San Antonio Museum of Art during a May 12 Art Fit Yoga event.

Participants will enjoy a quick gallery talk on fitness in the arts, followed by a yoga session led by Mobile Om. Participants will also have the option to participate in other forms of exercise, including an optional run along the river.

Arts_SamaLogoArt Fit is a free event located in the Great Hall at the San Antonio Museum of Art. Art Fit Yoga begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12. To learn more, visit www.samuseum.org.
