Pull out your blankets and lawn chairs and get ready to stake your spot at one of San Antonio’s most anticipated summer happenings. The Balcones Heights Jazz Festival has captivated Texas jazz fans for more than 20 years, and it’s back this month with a five-part series that starts on July 8. The series includes internationally acclaimed artists like Dean James, Melina, Groove Therapy, Tom Browne, Jeanette Harris and more.
The free concert series takes place on July 8, 15, 22, 29, and August 5 at the Wonderland of the Americas Amphitheater. Concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Outdoor seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early and grab a patch of grass around the amphitheater’s reflecting pool. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at a variety of booths, as well as at the food court inside Wonderland of the Americas Mall.
The Wonderland of the Americas Amphitheater is located at 4522 Fredericksburg Road, at IH-10 and Loop 410. For more information, visit www.reachfortheheights.org/jazz-festival.
