Participate in an activity-filled event celebrating both National Public Lands Day and Arbor Day on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Eisenhower Park. Alamo Forest Partnership, San Antonio Animal Care Services and San Antonio Parks and Recreation are teaming up to educate park visitors about trail safety and the environment, as well as help the city’s shelter pets find a “forever” home.

The event takes place from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and will include on-site tree adoptions, pet adoptions, planting demos, trail safety information, fun activities and a Tree-K Fun Run where participants will be able to “rent a Rover” to run or walk. Two hundred trees will be adopted (one per household). Eisenhower Park is located at 19397 NW Military.
