Join rainwater collection professionals and enthusiasts in celebrating the ancient art of rainwater collection on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Dripping Springs for the 5th Annual Rainwater Revival. As the Austin and San Antonio metropolitan areas continue to grow and expand, it is more important than ever to explore rainwater collection.
The annual rainwater event is free and open to rural residents, urban dwellers and anyone looking for an alternative or supplement to groundwater. Participants will enjoy informative and entertaining presentations by professional rainwater users, water conservation-related vendor booths, rainwater system displays, expert guidance and services, food booths and live music.
As in years past, the Revival will include a collection of 55-gallon recycled rain barrels transformed into works of art by local artists. The barrels will be displayed around Kendall County the week before the Rainwater Revival and auctioned off at the event.
The event takes place on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dripping Springs Ranch Park, 29401 Ranch Road 12 in Dripping Springs. For more information and a list of scheduled events, visit www.rainwaterrevival.com.
