26th Annual Earthwise Living Day Focuses on “Sustainability 101” on March 7


The longest-running annual environmental event in Bexar County returns to the Leon Valley Community Center on Saturday, March 7. Earthwise Living Day will focus on “Sustainability 101” and will feature demonstration booths for everyday eco-friendly living.

The family-friendly event will feature a variety of specialty vendors demonstrating organic cooking, food preservation, organic gardening, creating electricity from bicycles, rainwater harvesting and more. Enjoy a children’s recycled art activity, children’s musical presentations and free trees from City Public Service (while they last!). The event will include a recycling drop-off center for wine bottle corks, clothing, computers, electronics, scrap metal and expired medications.

Earthwise Living Day takes place Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Leon Valley Community Center, 6427 Evers Rd. For more information, visit www.leonvalleytexas.gov.
