23rd Annual Texas Clay Festival Returns to New Braunfels on Oct. 24, 25

Taking a lump of clay and carefully fashioning it into an amazing work of functional art is a pretty earthy experience, as any skilled potter will attest. It takes amazing patience and skill, and it’s an art worth celebrating. Thankfully, the Texas Clay Festival does just that by bringing together more than 60 talented potters in beautiful New Braunfels to showcase their artful pottery works and demonstrate their skills.

Visitors can view and purchase a wide variety of pottery, from traditional functional pieces to elaborate sculptural works, created by the top potters and clay artists in the state. Get your hands dirty by working with clay and participating in pottery-making demonstrations.

The 2015 Texas Clay Festival takes place on the grounds of The Pottery Barn in the historic Gruene section of New Braunfels, near the Gruene Dance Hall, 1296 Gruene Rd. The two-day festival is free and begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. For more information, visit www.texasclayfestival.com.
