Several hundred runners and walkers are expected to gather at the Blue Star Arts Complex early on Sept. 14 for the 23rd Run & Walk for AIDS, benefitting the San Antonio AIDS Foundation. The 5K run and 2-mile walk is one of the foundation’s largest funraisers; teams and individuals are invited to participate.
The event takes place along the Mission Reach portion of the San Antonio River and it begins and ends in a festivallike setting at the Blue Star Arts Complex, where there will be booths and entertainment for participants of all ages. The event begins at 7 a.m. with the 5K run starting at 7:30 a.m. and the 2-mile walk starting at 8:30 a.m.
