All residents living in the greater San Antonio area could benefit from better nutrition, better eating habits and more water consumption. How to do that will be the focus of the 2014 San Antonio Nutrition Summit, hosted by the Mayor’s Fitness Council and sponsored by the San Antonio Food Bank.
The event, which is free and targets health educators (school and clinical professionals, dieticians, etc.), takes place Tuesday, March 18 from 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the San Antonio Food Bank Event Space. Summit participants will focus on local dietary habits and behaviors and have the opportunity to hear keynote speaker Dr. Julie La Barba from the UT Health Science Center’s Department of Pediatrics.
The nutrition summit is free, but registration is required and space is limited. Register by March 4 for complementary breakfast and lunch. For event information, or for more information about the Mayor’s Fitness Council, visit www.fitcitysa.com or call 210-207-5377.
